  1. EOQ Communication and Marketing

  2. Members of the working group • Anne Elisabeth Zobl • Estibaliz Rollon • Sylvie Hendrick • Christine Weisenborn • Natalia Tomson

  3. Objective of the working group Define the EOQ Communication and Marketing strategy

  4. COMMUNICATION & MARKETING TODAY

  5. Proposals • Create a communication and marketing network • Use ESQH website • Have a EOQ website page for EOQ members • Define Media Relations • Re-do the EOQ website • Strategy about Quarterly Newsletter • Need of European magazine

  6. Create a communication and marketing network There is a strong need of creating a marketing and communication network amongst EOQ member countries. This specific group should not necessarily be the EOQ Representative for each country but a person responsible for marketing and communication in the organization. • Each EOQ member is to invite their marketing and communication person to Antalya. • Meeting in Antalya on Tuesday, April 26 to create the marketing and communication network

  7. ESQH website After having used this tool (http://194.109.109.139/eoq_demo • Login / password: bernard / welcome • Code: 1962) • The decision is to present the project to the EOQ Board in Antalya with the following specifications: • Having the following information available to use for this specific website: • -state of the art articles • -EOQ projects • -link to EOQ congress proceedings • -company statements about certified personnel • It was also decided to have a person in each country, who will be in charge of feeding information into this website. (cf. Com & Mkt network) • There is also an absolute need to have a person in charge to keep it alive. • This person should be in contact with the countries, asking for information and giving feedback on a regular basis. • It would be a good opportunity to use this website to create an EOQ database (proceedings, articles, documents,…)

  8. EOQ website page for EOQ members A request from different countries was to have a HTML page about EOQ to put on their website. • There now is a page for EOQ members containing: • EOQ general info (vision & mission) • Benefits (PRU, members, summer camp) • Adding the direct link to the EOQ website on the bottom • It was also decided to send the EOQ logo to all members for them to make the best use of it. • The member countries will be asked to give feedback; they should send the website link where the page will appear to EOQ.

  9. To follow is the example of the webpage

  10. The EOQ is a membership organization comprised of 34 national European quality organizations, as well as institutions, companies and individuals from all over the world. • The EOQ, is an autonomous, non-profit making association under Belgian law, having its headquarters located in Brussels. • The EOQ is an efficient network of 34 countries • Networking • Exchange of Know How • EOQ is a network of 70 000 people • EOQ Congress • Regular EOQ meetings • CEO trips • Networking of Experts • During the Summer Camp new change leaders from all over the world get together • Summer Camp • EOQ committees • Alliances with Quality organizations world-wide • Research and Development • European Quality Vision • Research Platform • Summer Camp • Services • Transfer of Know How • Improving the levels of competence in quality techniques • Personnel Registration Scheme • 6 Sigma • Creativity Tools • Dissemination and diffusion • Over 1000 events, 1 million participants during European Quality Week • European Quality Week • European Quality Leader • Recognition • 40 000 candidates have been registered so far through the Personnel Registration Scheme • Personnel Registration Scheme • European Quality Award • 7 Creativity tools training • For more information visit the EOQ website: • www.eoq.org

  11. PRU Propose the following to the next PRU meeting in Antalya: • Each PRU country will send an email to their certified personnel, like a survey with the following points: • Ask for agreement to be part of a certified personnel database • Ask what kind of info they would like to receive • Ask about interest to be part of an EU network Propose a simple promotional leaflet that will include • -Information • -Benefits And propose a draft during the PRU meeting in Antalya. • If countries running the schemes are interested they will have to fill in an order sheet with the numbers of copies they will need

  12. Press Release The Press Releases will be send to the member countries (EOQ representative + Com&Mkt network) for them to disseminate to their members and press contacts For 2005 and known today there will be the following Press releases: • Summit on Transformation (April 2005) • Congress (April 2005) • George Borel (April 2005) • EQL (April 2005) There is a need to define the person in charge for each member country (cf. COM&Mkt network) This person will send EOQ press releases to the local press contact and will send press clipping back after publication to EOQ to be put on the EOQ website

  13. Media After discussion it was felt that the press contacts should be done by the person in charge in each country

  14. EOQ website Based upon experience chat-rooms don’t work and therefore it was decided not to put any pressure on this point. • There is a space on the EOQ website if anyone is interested but we should not ‘force’ people to use it! It was also definitely expressed to change the EOQ website, the life of a web these days being 2/3 years. • The target would be September 2005. • A point about this should be made during the next Executive meeting. • We will already look at options and proposals to define a budget to be proposed to the Executive. The following ideas were defined during the meeting: • Included in the new website: • Pressroom: Press releases • Pictures • Site map • Search engine • Survey with challenging questions on homepage • Market research • Job opportunities for EOQ certified personnel (to be discussed in BM in Antalya)

  15. Quarterly Newsletter We have a quarterly newsletter that will be sent to EOQ members As well as to the person in charge of communication and marketing (cf. com&mkt network)

  16. European magazine There is no need to have a specific magazine but that having someone taking the lead on it without financial support from EOQ is a good thing. Therefore it was decided to invite Brian O’Grady to Antalya, to the Board meeting and to the Com&Mkt network meeting in order to give him the EOQ support for the future editions of Made In Europe

  17. Logo The question about changing the logo didn’t appear to be of major importance. • So it was decided to propose to the Executive that if there is a need to it and if the executive believes it necessary; to slightly modify the font but keep the appearance in order not to change previous documentation

  18. EOQ Board meetings proposal From now on there should be 10 min. allocate for communication during Board meetings • It would be an open space for questions and answers and a way to • propose to EOQ members products like EOQ PowerPoint presentations, etc… • It would also be a time to get some feedback from members and requests about newsletters, documents they wish to receive,…

  19. EOQ products Like the PRU informational flyer it would be necessary to find out if there is a need among members to have an informational sheet per product. • The proposal should be made • to the Executive in Antalya • to the Board in Antalya • If EOQ members would find the idea attractive they would need to place specific orders. • An order sheet will then be distributed via email.

  20. Workshop Antalya 2 Hours workshop BM in Antalya using creativity tools for EOQ members and their team (marketing and communication) Question to be raised: • How can we do best practice sharing?

  21. Target • Useful results for member countries • Present creativity tools and training

  22. Let’s put our energy together to make it work!
