  1. Dangerous Volcanoes!!!! By: Kristen McClung I think that volcanoes are very dangerous.

  2. Table of contents 1. How volcanoes erupt 2. Volcano Disasters 3. Conclusion 4. Picture page 5. Bibliography

  3. How volcanoes erupt • Inside the earth it is so hot that rock melts and turns into a hot liquid called magma. After it melts it rises up and collects in large pools called magma chambers. After the magma is in the chamber pressure pushes the magma up a tube or vent inside the volcano. The pressure that pushes the magma gets stronger and stronger. Finally the volcano erupts. When the magma comes out of the volcano it’s called lava.

  4. Volcano Disasters • Volcanoes are extremely deadly and dangerous. There’s nothing anyone can do to stop them from erupting because no one knows when they will erupt. Rocks , lava , ash and mud can bury up to 7 miles (27 kilometers) away. When Mt. St. Helens erupted one side of the volcano got ripped off. Lava poured out of the open side and clouds of ash filled the air.

  5. Mt. Vesuvius In 79AD Mt. Vesuvius erupted without warning. The people that lived in Pompeii lived near the volcano. People died from heat, ash and gas.

  6. Conclusion In conclusion volcanoes are very dangerous because rocks, mud, lava and ash can bury up to 7 miles(27 kilometers). Volcanoes have caused a lot of disasters in the past.
