Produce White Papers for the four work items: • White Paper #1: Finalized July 18th • White Paper #2: Draft currently undergoing revisions • White Paper #3: Outline for draft is being developed • White Paper #4: Brainstorming session during Oct 29-30th meeting NDSTF – White Papers Western Electricity Coordinating Council

NDSTF also taking on “practical” projects • COS Outage Manual (Work Item II) • Initial effort to standardize the Coordinated Outage System (COS) • Study Report Template (Work Item IV) • Establish a template for every entity to NDS study results NDSTF – Other Projects Western Electricity Coordinating Council

  5. The new TOP-002-4 recently passed the ballot: R1. Each Transmission Operator shall have an Operational Planning Analysis that will allow it to assess whether its planned operations for the next day within its Transmission Operator Area will exceed any of its System Operating Limits (SOLs). R2. Each Transmission Operator shall have an Operating Plan(s) for next-day operations to address potential System Operating Limit (SOL) exceedances identified as a result of its Operational Planning Analysis as required in Requirement R1.   7. Excerpt from the NDSTF Strategy Document: “Once the NDSTF has accomplished these specific work items, it is envisioned that the NDSTF would potentially exist as a working group to serve as a forum for discussion and continuous improvement of all aspects of near-term study processes.” Is there value in continuing the NDSTF effort (or forming a Working Group or other) to ensure TOPs are successful with TOP-002-4?
