  2. To Understand The Great Things The Lord Has Done … • One Must Understand The Influence Of The Demons On The Man. (vv. 2-5) • Made Him Unfit For Society • Made Him Restless Night & Day • Filled Him Full Of Misery & Pain • Uncontrollable By Human Power

  3. To Understand The Great Things The Lord Has Done … • One Must Understand The Power Of Jesus Over The Demons. (vv. 6-13) • The Demon Came To Him In Submission • Christ Could Control One Or Any Great Number Of Demons • He Commanded The Demons To Leave • He Controlled The Destiny Of The Demons

  4. To Understand The Compassion Of The Lord … • One Must Understand The Condition Of The Man Demonized. (vv. 2-5) • Lived In Tombs Without Family & Friends • Helpless & Hopeless – No Man Could Help • In Misery

  5. To Understand The Compassion Of The Lord … • One Must Understand The Selflessness Of The Lord. • Full Restoration To The Man (v. 15) • Spiritual Benefit Outweighed Any Physical Cost (v. 13)

  6. How Did The People Respond To The Great Things Of The Lord & His Compassion? • Some Feared Christ & Pleaded With Him To Leave. (vv. 14-17) • The Spiritual Benefit Was Not Worth The Physical Loss • One Sought To Follow & Told Others About Christ. (vv. 19-20)

  7. Lessons For Us Today • The Lord’s Great Works Have Made Salvation Available To All Men. • The Lord Is Compassionate Toward Those Who Need To Be Saved. • The Lord Lets Each One Decide What They Will Do With The Benefits Available To Them.
