  1. Active Shooter Response Training Instructor Level Course • Become a trainer of the • A.L.I.C.E. Program! • (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) • This course is designed to train you how to train others to proactively handle violent intruder and active shooter situations. Help save lives by providing training that will bridge the gap between when the violent event begins and law enforcement arrives. • Location: San Diego State University • Date & Time: January 7-8, 2013, 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. each day, • Registration: $395 per person, maximum of 40 seats available. Course materials will be provided and a physical drill will be conducted • Course Modules: • Background: We’ll share statistics and information about active shooter situations and why A.L.I.C.E. is effective. • A.L.I.C.E. Concept: Provide a detailed overview of A.L.I.C.E. and the liability of proactive vs. passive response strategies. • Physical Drill: We’ll conduct a physical drill that shows a response before and after the use of A.L.I.C.E. • Effective Training: We’ll give you some strategies on how to be an effective trainer. • Hosted by San Diego State University Police • Questions?
