  1. 5 Right Food Pairings with Your Chianti Wine You Should Try For centuries, Chianti has been one of the most popular wines in Italy. Originating from the Tuscany region, this wine is known for its bright ruby colour and fruity flavour. However, there are many things you can do with it beyond simply drinking it! If you are looking for some ideas on how best to pair your Chianti wine tasting with food, read on. We have collected our top five favourite ways to enjoy this versatile beverage: Central Italy is known for its abundance of fresh produce As you know, Italy is known for its abundance of fresh produce. With this in mind, it's no surprise that Chianti pairs well with food. The fruity taste of Chianti goes well with the flavours found in many different types of dishes and makes it an excellent choice when pairing wine with your favourite meals. Chianti is a red wine from central Italy that has been produced since at least the 13th century, though there is some debate over whether or not these early wines were truly "Chianti" or just local grapes fermented without regulation by monks who lived near Florence (the birthplace of today's version). Regardless of how long they've been around or what exactly qualifies them as such today-- if anything does--we know one thing: They're delicious! If you are looking to pair your Chianti with food, try these Italian favourites Now that you know what to look for when pairing your Chianti with food, try these Italian favourites.  Spaghetti with Meatballs: This dish is a classic and is sure to pair well with any red wine. The tomato sauce in spaghetti can be overwhelming for some wines, but the meatballs will help to balance out its acidity. Try using an aged Chianti or Sangiovese-based wine like a Brunello di Montalcino or Amarone della Valpolicella. Pizza Margherita: You can never go wrong with pizza! With this particular type of pizza (tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and basil), it's best if you use an acidic white wine like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc as opposed to another red varietal since they tend not to have enough body on their own; however, be careful not to overpowering flavour profile of your favourite pie by going overboard on what kind of vino goes with it - otherwise things might get weird real fast!  1. Arancini Milanese Arancini is a traditional dish from Milan. It's made with arborio rice, peas, prosciutto cotto and parmigiano reggiano. It's also a great way to use leftover risotto! 2. Panzanella Salad Panzanella salad is a classic Tuscan salad that's made with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and basil. It's usually served with olive oil. This is a great side dish for Chianti wine because it has similar flavours like tomato and basil. 3. Mozzarella in Carrozza

  2. Mozzarella in Carrozza is a classic Italian dish and one of the best pairings for Chianti wine. It's also known as fried mozzarella, which might sound like an odd combination at first but actually makes perfect sense when you think about it: fried food goes great with wine! The dish consists of sliced pieces of breaded mozzarella that are then served with marinara sauce on top or on the side (depending on how much you like tomato sauce). 4. Pasta Bolognese al Ragu di Carne This is a classic Italian dish that's been around since the 18th century. It's made with beef, tomatoes, onions, and carrots--and it's delicious with Chianti wine! Try pairing your Pasta Bolognese al Ragu di Carne with the Chianti Classico Riserva (aged for 3 years) to get the full experience of this hearty meal. 5. Vitello Tonnato (Veal with tuna sauce)   In a medium bowl, combine tuna, olive oil, and capers. Mix well. Add parsley, onion, and lemon juice to the tuna mixture; season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix again until everything is well combined. Conclusion: If you are looking to pair your Chianti with food, try these Italian favourites. We hope this article helped you find some great pairings to make your Chianti experience much more unique and delightful.
