We Know where they occur, mainly on the Earth’s Plate Boundaries.

Why do They Occur?

How Do We Measure an

Earthquake?

We use the Richter Scale.

This tells us how strong it was - 1 being weak and 10 being absolute devastation.

How are earthquakes recorded?

Earthquakes are recorded on a seismograph. The print out tells us how powerful the earthquake was and how long it lasted.

What Happens in an Earthquake?

This has Happened in Japan.
