  1. Member Recruitment Engaging students in your society

Societies & Sports Fair Wednesday 18th September, 10:00-15:00 Set Up • St Johns Sports Centre • You will be able to set up from: 9.30am • You will be provided with a stall location, this can not be changed • Any activities/demonstrations must be pre-authorised • Only 4 per table at 1 time – you can rotate throughout the day During • Students can register for free for 2 weeks via the ‘Interest List’ at the Interest List Drop-Off Point. This list will generate you all the students contact details. You will not need to have your own lists. • Students will also be able to purchase memberships from the Students Union Welcome Desk on the day • If you need to collect any information for auditions etc. please let us know at the end of this session

  3. In your societycommittees, spend the next 3 minutes thinking about who you are trying to attract to your stand at the fair and in general

  4. Now you have thought about who you want to attract, spend the next 3 minutes discussing how you will attract them

  6. Societies & Sports Fair Clear Down • All rubbish must be thrown away, not left at your table • All possessions must be taken with you • Please fold down all tables & chairs • Any Society that does not clear down at the end of the day will receive a £25 fine. We will know.

Give it a Go • Chance to give new members the opportunity to trial the society for free • Every societies first session or meeting will be a Give it a Go event • Give it a Go can happen anytime in the year – just fill out this form https://worcsu.wufoo.com/forms/r6pgign1upkkgv/and we will sort out the advertising!

Marketing • Make sure you are active across social media – post regular up-dates and make sure you tag the SU accounts and #TeamWorc • Keep your content varied and engaging – use a mix of photos, videos and gifs • Contribute to Worc Hard Play Hard – email sucommunications@worc.ac.uk • Team Worc TV – speak with Mike about taking part – Michael.harris@worc.ac.uk

  11. Marketing • If you have any big events coming up, let us know and we can help you promote them on social media/SU website • If you want help with promo via social media, posters, stalls etc, just send us a message on Facebook or email – sucommunications@worc.ac.uk
