  2. Effects of Procrastination Purpose of this PSA is to describe the effects procrastination has on overall learning and grades of an individual student. The PSA will contain the three required terms (computer, table, and lamp) to benefit the overall PSA. The video will center around one day in the life of a student, will have faster cuts that show the various actions taken during the day, and stress the importance of planning a day out, and not procrastinating.

  3. Video should begin with an assignment being assigned with a specific due date. Student will initially have a rough idea about how the assignment will be accomplished. But with no concrete schedule.

  4. 3 word requirement Lamp Table Computer

  5. Storyboard • Student comes back to home/study room. Has a general idea of the project that must be completed, and the time it must be finished by. In this case: 11:59pm. • Student free time begins at 4:00pm. • Time to complete: 8 hours. Let the procrastination begin!

  6. Storyboard TIME: 5:30PM • After a long day, our student is hungry. Surly he can’t work diligently on this assignment without a meal. So, the student will make himself a sandwich. • Eating is difficult to do while studying, surely he can also watch some television! • It also so happens to be his favorite show. Back to back new episodes. What a treat!

  7. A friend has sent our person a text message asking to join him in a online game match. Sure says our little procrastinator. What is an hour or so? TIME: 7:30PM

  8. TIME: 9:00PM WOW! Time sure does fly by. Our person now realizes the time is 9:00 PM. He still has the assignment due before midnight, and now he is even feeling alittle tired too. A bath should easily wake him up and keep him refreshed, maybe even a warm drink?

  9. The procrastination has come to an end. Our person now has less than 2 hours to complete the assignment. Anxiety has reached maximum levels, and now our person is more focused on just turning something in, regardless of the quality. His grade will suffer. TIME: 10:00PM

  10. Importantly the negative effect procrastination has on productivity and end results. The focus of this PSA is to stress the importance of time management. Phone calls, texting, web browsing. Playing video games. A lack of time management is key.

  11. The target audience is a student, however the PSA can also target individuals who procrastinate at work, with friends, or family. The main focus will be a student. Audience: Student

  12. The PSA will describe and demonstrate a negative outcome as a result of procrastination and lack of time management. The key thing for the outcome will be the negative side effects of not planning properly, and not focusing on the essentials. OUTCOME:Failure of Time Management
