Email Blasts Hazel@wocouncilpta.org • increase frequency to start of week (a Sun./Mon.) with a“Week of Reminders” or end of week “Recap” (Fri./Sat.) • blasts can use a “standard” Constant Contact template • blasts could be written with brief info and include links that will promote PTA website browsing for more detailed information. • use a “demo flyer” for parents to show how to sign up. *Remind people to check their junk mail folder!

Website www.hazelpta.org • offers detailed postings of PTA news and events that align with timing of email blasts • include links to new posts sent out in start of “Week of Reminder” blasts or end of week “Recap” email blasts • unique articles/stories can be considered content on a static page or be a post. • Follow on Twitter: @HazelPTA

  4. Subscribe to our RSS feed. • click the link “RSS FEED” • follow the prompts to show posts in your inbox! Note: The website’s former subscription service (MailChimp) has been turned off to promote the use of one mode for email notifications through email blasts. (We only had 23 subscribers).

  5. Google Calendar • link to up to date calendar offered on the website • can easily be printed at home or work • PTA Executive Board Members, Committee Chairs and Hazel Staff can have log-in privileges to add or edit events on calendar.

Paper calendar will be prepared for distribution. *Online calendar can be updated at any point and a digital notice sent out. • Website: Bev Noel/Tracey (Site Admin & Posts) & other parents (as “Writers”) On-going postings, articles, calendar updates and managing school-year static content. • Hazel Herald: Lisa Boymann & Julia Ginocchio Mid-month news collecting, published at start of month.

Hazel PTA Google Group • offered via our Gmail services for hazelpta.org • provides email, calendar access, document storage and sharing capabilities. • instead of sharing your personal email with the school community you choose to use: yourname@hazelpta.org and have the mail forwarded to your personal email account.
