  5. Read & understand Most people • Read like when they where 10-12 years old • Read with an inner voice – aloud for themselves! • Read approx. 250 words/min. with a 60% understanding • That’s 0,6 x 250 = 150 efficient words/minute

  6. Why we read slowly • Read like 10-12 year old • ”soren saw a cow…” • Hear & say learning • Phonic learning • Back skipping • Brain overcapacity means that you read things again • Eyes uses too many fix points in every line • Eyes focus for every ”fix” which takes time • 4-7 fix pr line

  7. Read & understand • With reasonable training you achieve • 800-1000 words / minute • An understanding of +80% • Thats 0,8x1000= 800 efficient words/minute • More than FIVE times as much • Usually during seminar you gain + 50-75%

Super speedread a complete book • The ”SUPERFAST METHOD” • read back of book • read list of content • Copy list of content to a ”Mindmap” or similar • Read all chapter ”Summaries” / evt. study questions • Mark keywords on each page • i.e. Who, what, why, how, where, when • Transfer keywords to mindmap / notes • Reflect on ”what do I still miss?” • Re-read (relevant parts of) book fast and fill ”gaps” • Now you have the essence of the book

Super speedread a complete book! • read 5 chapters at 15 sec/page or "S-read" it • Goal : Gather key themes / elements • Keywords • Persons • Similar • Reflect over each chapter at the end of each • Speculate over next chapter and what you expect find in it • After max 5 chapter - recap • What do I miss? • Reflect on possible answers • Evt. make a mindmap • Re-read fast • Fill ”gaps” • Make a mini summary of the 5 chapters • Repeat process for next 5 chapter • Summarize complete book
