  4. Culture • Had strong ties with Iceland and Norway • Were hunter-gatherers, traders, and pillagers • Raised sheep and cattle • Farmed crops • Pillaged towns

  5. Technology • Used tools like saws and barrel staves • Shared ideas and ways of living with Inuit tribe • Received ideas about tools and weaponry

  6. Geography • Very cold and humid • Surrounded by Atlantic and Artic oceans • United Kingdom, Iceland, and Norway were to right • Canada to left
