  4. The Alliance Empowerment Coalition PARTNERSHIP & MISSION The mission of the Alliance Empowerment Coalition is to infuse the principles of recovery into mental health. The Alliance is a self-help, mutual support, human rights and advocacy organization driven to defend and promote the rights and interests of persons who have been labeled “mentally ill.” We believe all people have the right to be treated with dignity and respect and should have the freedom to control their own life. The Empowerment Center is a grassroots not-for-profit organization providing mutual support for the recovery of people with psychiatric disabilities. Through advocacy, education and the establishment of healing environments, we work to create community, promote individual responsibility, and protect our rights and dignity.
