  1. November 29, 2010 Updates: Dec. 2 - Field Trip to Rock Quarry- Wear GBE shirt By Dec. – Students bring in a picture of yourself for a keepsake project. Make sure it is a picture that you like. (wallet size or a close up snapshot) A sequencing project was sent home last week. Please look over this! Students will write and demonstrate how to do something in front of the class. This week is the last week for Toys for Tots. Also, did you see the note about the Santa Shop? Dec. 17- Last day of 1st semester, Holiday Centers Have your child practice math at IXL.com (Third Grade) IXL has all of the math standards for the year. It is a great site! Passwords were given out twice. Of course it will be so much easier if facts are memorized! Facts through 3 should be memorized by now. Use observation to compare the similarities and differences of texture, particle size, and color in top soils (such as clay, loam or potting soil, and sand).
