  2. What is Project Light ? Project Light Teaches English as a Second Language to non-English speaking persons.

  3. FACT: There are 40 words in the English Language that make up 40 % of the language! Project Light teaches these words.

  4. Project Light Teaches phonics, sight words, proper sentence structure,proper sound formation.

  5. Project Light Teaches English as a Second Language on a computer using the Tutor / Student Model.

  6. Who can be a Tutor? Do You Know how to turn on a Computer? Can You speak and write at an 8th Grade Level? Do You have Jesus Christ in your heart?

  7. Then You Can Be A Tutor! You don’t have to know a “foreign language”. You don’t have to be a “trained teacher”.

  8. FIRST YOU LEARN LETTERS Teach the student to recognize , name, and distinguish between the letters . . . a,d,e,f,h,I,n,o,t

  9. FIRST YOU LEARN LETTERS Teach the pupil to recognize and distinguish between the letter groups . . . the, of, and, to, a, in only say the letters in these groups these are still only letters

  10. FIRST YOU LEARN LETTERS Teach the pupil the words: the, of, and, to, a, in . . . Try to say the word “the” without sticking your tongue out in front of your teeth!

  11. FIRST YOU LEARN LETTERS Help the student distinguish Between the ch and sh sounds Chair or Share This will take you through the first 16 lessons, 26 letters, and the 40 most common words.

  12. THEN YOU LEARN TO PUT TOGETHER WORDS. Present letters “m” and “c” at the beginning of words; the letter “a” in its most common(short) sound; and the letters “n” and “t” at the end of a word. Words presented man, cat, can, mat.

  13. THEN YOU LEARN TO PUT TOGETHER WORDSThe First 6 lessons teach combining letters to form words2 letters at the beginning of a word and using the ending sound.

  14. THEN YOU LEARN TO PUT TOGETHER WORDS 107 of the 114 lessons use a Christian based story with a scripture reading. Drill Page . . . Learn new words Story A . . . Combines the new words into a story. Story B . . . New words into a Christian saying. Scripture Reading.

  15. Scripture is read from “The New Life Translation” The Bible is written in 850 words In language a new English Reader can understand. This New Testament has been translated into Spanish.

  16. Part of Student lesson: Book 1 Lesson 8 Lesson 8 Letter presented: the letter “i” in its most common (short) sound. Clarification: practice the common short “i” sound, whenever it appears in isolation or in a syllable. Questions to ask the student: (Story A)”who was bad?” “What did they do?” (Story B) “Who sins?” “What is sin?” Scripture: Luke 17: 1-4 New Life Version
