  2. Ruby on Rails • Using Ruby on Rails to create web server • MySQL to store data • Display data gathered using BLAT

  3. Pygr • Python based tool for sequencing data • Can compare two or more strains • Tried using to find inversions • Takes too long / too resource intensive

  4. BLAT • Similar in function to Pygr • Significantly less memory intensive • Will be used to find and map polymorphisms

  5. Roadmap • Significantly less progress than expected • Web server mostly functional by January • Winter quarter to map polymorphisms • Spring quarter to use map of polymorphisms and predict phenotype
