  2. My father swallowed my other 5 siblings • I was the king of the gods. • I was the most powerful of the gods. • So I could have any woman I wanted • And I tried to have them all!!!! Why not? • Zeus/Jupiter

  3. Zeus’s climb to fame • Zeus overthrew his Father Cronus • He then drew lots with his brothers Poseidon and Hades. • Zeus won the draw and became the supreme ruler of the gods. • He is lord of the sky, the rain god. • His weapon is a thunderbolt which he hurls at those who displease him.

  4. The goddess of marriage • I was Zeus’s wife and thus the Queen of the gods. • I was also the goddess of marriage, children, and the home • Hera • Zeus is married to me but, had many affairs and children • You see why I hated him?

  5. The Lord of the Sea • I was the lord of the sea, was the brother of Zeus. • Poseidon • Neptune • My weapon was a trident, which can shake the earth, and shatter any object. • I was second only to Zeus in power amongst the gods. • I had a difficult quarrelsome personality. I was greedy.

  6. The Lord of the Underworld • I was Zeus’s other brother and I was the lord of the underworld (Hell) • Hades • Pluto • We lost the battle for control of the Earth, but my brother got the ocean and I got the underworld • I was a greedy god. I wanted tempt l my subjects so I looked like a girl.

  7. The God of War • I was Zeus' son, was the god of war. I was tall andhandsome but cruel and vain. I could not bear to suffer pain. • Ares • Mars

  8. The Messenger • I am the messenger of the gods • I am the fastest god • My symbol is wing sandals • Hermes • Mercury

  9. Twins • Artemis the huntress and I are twins. • I am the god of poetry and • music. • Who am I? • Apollo • Apollo

  10. I am the Goddess of love. My role as the Goddess of love was to inspire other to love. My Roman name is Venus. Wherever I walked flowers sprang up beneath her feet

  11. I am Aphrodite's husband • I am the lame god • I was thrown from Mt. Olympus by Zeus after he and Hera had a fight • I am the god of fire and the forge. • I cause volcanoes to erupt. • I make swords and jewelry. • Hephaestus • Vulcan

  12. I am Aphrodite’s son • I was the god of love. • I had a bow and arrow to shoot people and make them fall in love. • Eros • Cupid

  13. I was Zeus' son and god of the sun, light and music. • I drive my chariot with four horses and drive the Sun across the sky. • Apollo • The Sun god

  14. I was the goddess of wisdom. • I was Zeus’ s favorite daughter. • He lets me use his thunder bolts • Athena. • Diana

  15. I was a horse with wings. • Poseidon was my father • The Medusa was my mother • Everywhere I struck my hoof • A beautiful spring appeared • Pegasus

  16. Zeus’s Son • I was another of Zeus' sons. • The Olympians won because of me, but • Hera hated me because my mom, Alcmena, was mortal • Hera gave me 12 impossible labors • She wanted me dead • But I always won! Herecles/ Hercules

  17. Atlas • I led a revolt of the Titans against Zeus and was sentenced to carry the World on my back. • One of his Hercules Labors was to collect the Apples of the Hesperides for him • I said I would bring them to him if • He held the Earth for me • Tricky, huh?
