  2. The Basics Club Tyrone was/is the pioneer Basic GAA principle: you put in… you don’t take out Tell people what you want them to put in to… ie what your Club is doing/delivering/planning: DON’T ASSUME THEY KNOW THIS! Get them to “buy into the feeling”

  3. Some Tips Put someone/a group in charge Work out your scheme’s structure: get the balances right… amounts; timing Maybe ring-fence the money for something Get the PR right: launch and materials Get people onto standing orders Use ICT to manage it… and DO manage it! Provide a small “badge of honour” Keep reporting back to people!

  4. And Remember! This steps on nobody else’s toes: you target your own people Costs/outlay are minimal It’s not for everyone You don’t refuse the “Widow’s mite” It DOES NOT REPLACE lottos; draws; etc but complements/supplements them
