Cut (2) 3-foot pieces of WEATHER STRIPPING-RUBBER SPONGE (3318739). Place (1) piece around the inside edge of both broom wells as shown. Cut WEATHER STRIPPING flush with the edge of each broom well as shown. Shop Note:Apply WEATHER STRIPPING-RUBBER SPONGE to inside edges of both broom wells. Parts: 3318739 Tools: Side Cutters / Cloth

  3. Then place (3) WASHER-FLAT 5/16 STANDARD ZP and (3) WASHER-LOCK 5/16 SPLIT ZP, one on each SCR-CAR,5/16-18X1.00 ZP on the interior of the frame. Secure with (3) NUT, HEX 5/16-18 ZP, one on each, as shown. Hand tighten. Repeat for the right side of unit. Place (1) HINGE-BROOM DOOR SW/A PNTD on the outer left side of the unit as shown. Insert (3) SCREWS-CAR,5/16-18X1.00 ZP through the HINGE-BROOM DOOR SW/A PNTD and the frame as shown. 3400088 / 3400102 Parts: 3307275 / 3400009 / 3400088 / 3400070 3400102

Thread (1) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 7/16-14 onto each BOLT-STRIKER BRM DOOR LATCH on the other side of the wheel well on the right and left sides of the unit as shown. Tighten. Get (2) BOLT-STRIKER BRM DOOR LATCH (3307248). Insert (1) BOLT-STRIKER BRM DOOR LATCH, with included washer, through the hole in the rear of the wheel well on the right and left sides of the unit as shown. Parts: 3307248 / 3400394 Tools: 3/4” Wrench

Place ASSY-BROOM DOOR LH SUB 8/9/10X onto the HINGE on the left wheel well. Place the WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 onto the SCREWS-HEX, 5/16-18X 1.00 ZP. Secure the left and right ASSY-BROOM DOOR to the HINGES by inserting the SCREWS through the top side of the hinge into the weld nuts on the BROOM DOOR. Press door in toward hinge before tightening screws.Tighten only the screws in the door. 3400035 3307025 Press the door in toward the hinge before tightening. Get (1) ASSY-BROOM DOOR RH SUB 8/9/10X (3307025), (1) ASSY-BROOM DOOR LH SUB 8/9/10X (3307024), (6) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 (3400384) and (6) SCREWS-HEX, 5/16-18X 1.00 ZP (3400035). Parts: 3307025 / 3307024 / 3400035 / 3400384 Tools: ½” Socket / Ratchet

  6. MODEL: 1900 JONAS - WC03DOCUMENTED BY: John MyersPAGE NUMBER: 6DATE: 9/2/08 Lift each of BROOM DOORS out and release. The door latch should catch the STRIKER BOLT upon impact and latch around it. If not, readjust the position of the SCREWS in the slots that secure the HINGE to the frame. Ensure that the gap between the top edge of the door and the frame is consistent all along the edge, as shown. Tools: Screwdriver

If necessary, adjust both BROOM DOORS to ensure the gap between the top edge of the door and the frame is consistent all along the edge. Tap with mallet to adjust. Tools: Mallet

  9. Shop Note:The LEVELERS are installed on both sides of the unit. MODEL: 1900 JONAS - WC03DOCUMENTED BY: John MyersPAGE NUMBER: 9DATE: 9/2/08 3307639 3400390 3400390 Get (4) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390) and (2) LEVELER-5/16-18 SW/A (3307639). Thread (1) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 on to each LEVELER-5/16-18 SW/A with the nut reversed as shown. Insert the LEVELER into the flange on the right and left sides of the frame. Thread 2nd NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 SW/A right-side up on to each LEVELER-5/16-18 SW/A under each flange as shown. Tighten the NUTS-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 as shown. Parts: 3400390 / 3307639 Tools: ½” Wrench

  10. Shop Note:Two MNT-REAR SIDE SKIRTS are installed on each side of the unit, at rear corners of frame and near each broom door. MODEL: 1900 JONAS - WC03DOCUMENTED BY: John MyersPAGE NUMBER: 10DATE: 9/2/08 3400384 3307518 3400036 Get (4) MNT-REAR SIDE SKIRT SW/A PNTD (3307518), (8) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X0.75 ZP (3400036), (8) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 (3400384) and (8) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390). Place (1) MNT-REAR SIDE SKIRT SW/A PNTD on rear right of the frame as shown. If the weld on the frame protrudes out beyond the lip of the frame grind the lip off before installing the MNT-REAR SIDE SKIRT.Place the end of the bracket with the slotted holes towards the frame. Place (2) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 onto (2) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X0.75 ZP. Insert the (2) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X0.75 ZP through the MNT-REAR SIDE SKIRT SW/A PNTD and through the frame as shown. Thread (2) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 onto the (2) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X0.75 ZP as shown. Hand tighten. Place another (1) MNT-REAR SIDE SKIRT SW/A PNTD near the right broom door as shown. Install with the same hardware. Hand tighten. Repeat for the left side of the unit. Parts: 3307518 / 3400036 / 3400384 3307518

Secure with (2) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X0.75 ZP (3400036), (2) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 (3400384) and (2) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390). Adjust the WELD-SKIRT to align with BROOM DOOR. Tighten all hardware on the WELD-SKIRT and the MNT-REAR SIDE SKIRTS on right side of unit. Parts: 3307519 / 3400036 / 3400384 / 3400390 Tools: ½” Socket / Air Ratchet

Secure with (2) SCR-HEX,5/16-18X0.75 ZP (3400036), (2) WASHER-CONICAL SPRING 5/16 (3400384) and (2) NUT-FLANGE LOCK 5/16-18 (3400390). Adjust the WELD-SKIRT to align with BROOM DOOR. Tighten all hardware on the WELD-SKIRT and the MNT-REAR SIDE SKIRTS on the left side. Parts: 3307520 / 3400036 / 3400384 / 3400390 Tools: ½” Socket / Air Ratchet

MODEL: 1900 JONAS - WC03DOCUMENTED BY: John MyersPAGE NUMBER: 14DATE: 9/2/08 Rotary Actuator Hex head screws to be loosened Set Screw Hex head screws to be loosened Remove the small threaded set screw from the center of the rotary actuator and discard. Loosen the (4) hex head screws on each side of the rotary actuator so that they can be removed by hand later. Tools: 1/8” Allen Wrench / 3/16” Hex-Head Socket / Ratchet

Place (12) WASHERS-LOCK 3/8 SPLIT ZP onto (12) SCR-HEX 3/8-16X1.25 ZP GRADE 8. Thread the SCR-HEX with WASHERS into the ASSY-STEERING FORK cylinder weldment on the frame as shown.Tighten to Dry Torque of 44 Ft./Lbs. Write torque specifications on top of the cylinder weldment on the frame and initials of assembler, as shown at right. Parts: 3401087 / 3400101 Tools: Impact Butterfly Wrench / 9/16” Socket / 9/16” Torque Wrench / Red Paint Pen

Once the tail wheel is attached, remove hose. 3338183 Get (1) FTG-BLEED VALVE (HELAC) (3321439), (2) FTG-MALE CONN 37 JIC .38 X .25 (3338183) and (2) FTG-C5506X6 SWNLE 90 DEG#6 (3332426). Remove the caps in the front of the ASSY-STEERING FORK that were loosened earlier. Thread (2) FTG-MALE CONN 37 JIC .38 X .25 in the top and bottom holesas shown. Tighten. Thread (1) FTG-BLEED VALVE (HELAC) into the middle hole as shown. Tighten. Thread (2) FTG-C5506X6 SWNLE 90 DEG#6 into the top and bottom FTG-MALE CONN 37 JIC .38 X .25 as shown. Tighten. Put a hose onto the (2) FTG-C5506X6 SWNLE 90 DEG#6 until the tail wheel is attached. Once the tail wheel is attached remove the hose. Hose Parts: 3321439 / 3338183 / 3332426 Tools: 1/4” Socket / 5/8”Socket / Ratchet / ¾” Wrench / 11/16” Wrench

Hoist the frame until the tail wheel hub can be easily accessed. Place the ASSY-TIRE REAR PNEUMAT 8/9/10X (valve stem out) on the ASSY-STEERING FORK as shown. Thread the NUTS-WHEEL LUG onto the threaded studs on the ASSY-STEERING FORK as shown. Tighten the nuts in an alternating pattern. Torque to 100 ft./lbs. Parts: 3335643 / 3300411 Tools: Hoist / Strap / ½” Impact Wrench / 100-ft./lb. 13/16” Torque Extension

Attach to the frame as shown by inserting the (2) SCR-HEX through the ASSY-VALVE, CONTROL 1900 and the frame. Secure each SCR-HEX under frame with a NUT-HEX. Tighten. Parts: 3335071 / 3400473 / 3400079 Tools: 9/16” Wrench / 9/16” Socket / Air Ratchet

Place a SUB-BRAKE ARM BRG MNT 8/9/10X on the left end of the WELD-BRAKE BAR and insert (2) SCR-HEX with washers through the SUB-BRAKE ARM BRG MNT and the welded mount on left side of the frame, as shown at top right. Secure with (2) NUT-HEX. Hand tighten. Insert brake pedal lever on WELD-BRAKE BAR through opening in frame into driver’s compartment, as shown bottom right, and insert a SUB-BRAKE ARM BRG MNT 8/9/10X on the right end of the WELD-BRAKE BAR. Align the holes of the SUB-BRAKE ARM BRG MNT and the welded mount bracket on the right side of the frame. Insert (2) SCR-HEX with washers through the SUB-BRAKE ARM BRG MNT and the welded mount on right side of the frame. Secure with (2) NUT-HEX.   23. Washer and Pin MODEL: 1900 JONAS - WC03DOCUMENTED BY: John MyersPAGE NUMBER: 23DATE: 9/2/08 3335352 3334173 Get (1) LEVER-HAND BRAKE SW/A (3334173). Remove the key, washer, and pin from the LEVER-HAND BRAKE SW/A as shown. Save the washer and pin. Discard the key. Get (1) BAR-PARK BRAKE, 1900 (3335352), (1) BAR-PARK BRAKE WITH FLAG (3335349) and (1) PIN-COTTER 3/8 RUE-RING (3400125). Insert BAR-PARK BRAKE, 1900 into the LEVER-HAND BRAKE. Insert the pin through the holes in both. Place the BAR-PARK BRAKE WITH FLAG on the pin as shown. Insert the pin through the other side of the LEVER-HAND BRAKE SW/A. Replace the flat washer. Insert the PIN-COTTER 3/8 RUE-RING through hole in the pin as shown. 3335349 3400125 Washer Parts: 3334173 / 3335352 / 3335349 / 3400125 3334173 Tools: Channel Locks

Insert the SCR-HEX,3/8-16X3.00 ZP F'THD through the left side of the bracket welded to the hopper side as shown. Place the SPACER-THIN-HAND BRAKE PLTD and the BAR-HAND BRK SPACER PLTD SW/A on to the SCR-HEX,3/8-16X3.00 ZP F'THD. Do not push SCRS-HEX all the way through at this point. Insert handle of the LEVER-HAND BRAKE through the firewall withthe handle on the operator side. 3400473 3307895 Parts: 3400473 / 3307895 / 3307273

Insert the SPACERS-HAND BRAKE PLTD SW/A between holes in plates on the HAND BRAKE LEVER as shown. Place the SPACERS-THIN in between the LEVER-HAND BRAKE and the welded mount as shown. Finish inserting the SCREWS-HEX,3/8-16X3.00 ZP through the welded brackets as shown. Do not secure yet. 3307241 Parts: 3307241 / 3307895

Insert the welded arm on the middle of the WELD-BRAKE BAR, 9X, 2PC between the BAR-PARK BRAKE, 1900 (3335352) and BAR-PARK BRAKE WITH FLAG (3335349) as shown above. 3400233 Place (1) WASHER-FENDER 5/16 onto the PIN-CLEVIS 5/16x7/8 ZP. Insert the PIN-CLEVIS 5/16x7/8 ZP with WASHER-FENDER through the right side of BAR-PARK BRAKE WITH FLAG and WELD-BRAKE BAR and right side of BAR-PARK BRAKE, 1900, as shown above. Place (2) WASHER-FENDER 5/16 onto the other end of the PIN-CLEVIS on the left side BAR-PARK BRAKE, 1900. Insert the PIN-COTTER through the hole in the PIN-CLEVIS as shown. Insert CAP-SWITCH-LIMIT, PLUNGER TYPE onto SWITCH-LIMIT, PLUNGER TYPE PLATE-PARK), as shown at right. Place (1) WASHER-FLAT #8 ZP onto each SCR-HEX SLT WSH HD 8-32 x 1" ZP and insert screws with washers through (2) holes in CAP-SWITCH-LIMIT, PLUNGER TYPE and in end of BRAKE SWITCH MNT (3335350), as shown at right. Place (1) WASHER-FLAT #8 ZP onto inside end of each SCR-HEX SLT WSH HD 8-32 x 1" ZP and secure with (2) NUT-HEX #8-32 ES ZP. Tighten. Left Side 3400184 3400088 Right Side 3400088 3400125 Get (2) PIN-CLEVIS 5/16 X 1-1/8 ZP (3400184), (4) WASHER-FLAT 5/16 STANDARD ZP (3400088) and (2) PIN-COTTER 3/8 RUE-RING (3400125). Insert screwdriver under the brake axle on left side to lift up the CLEVIS. Hold down screwdriver with foot as shown at top left to line up the holes in the CLEVIS and the welded bracket on the WELD-BRAKE BAR on the left-hand side as shown. Place (1) WASHER-FLAT onto (1) PIN-CLEVIS. Insert the PIN through the hole on the left-hand side of the unit as shown. Place (1) WASHER-FLAT 5/16 STANDARD ZP on the outside of the CLEVIS. Install the SUPPORT-MANUAL BRAKE BAR to the hopper side of the frame, with the notch in the center of the SUPPORT-MANUAL BRAKE BAR aligned with the BRAKE BAR as shown. Place the WASHERS on the SCR-HEX. Insert the SCR-HEX through the SUPPORT-MANUAL BRAKE BAR and the welded mount on the frame as shown. Secure each SCR-HEX with a NUT-HEX.
