  2. Pearson, Roeler, Dole y Duffy (1992) establecen una serie de competencias que posee el buen lector “Se entiende por lectura la capacidad de entender un texto escrito (Adam y Starr, 1982). Habilidad intelectual que permite comprender y captar los significados que otros han transmitido mediante sonidos, imágenes, colores y movimientos - Utilizan el conocimiento previo para darle sentido a la lectura. -Monitorizan su comprensión durante todo el proceso de la lectura. -Toman los pasos necesarios para corregir los errores de comprensión una vez que se dan cuenta que han interpretado mal lo leído. -Pueden distinguir lo importante en los textos que leen. -Resumen la información cuando leen. -Hacen inferencias constantemente durante y después de la lectura. -Preguntan Comprensión de lo leído Interpretar Consiste en Organizar Retener Valorar Abarca tres procesos Interpretación de signos claves, otros Proceso de decodificación Conocimientos previos que se tenga para interpretar lo leído Proceso cognitivo Interacción del lector con sus conocimientos Proceso de construcción de significado
