  30. Design a Worksheet • Specify purpose - ID the input data required, and the desired output • Design and build - either on paper or in Excel, should include title, row label and column headings, and some sample data

  31. Types of Data Entries • Text - any combination of letters, numbers, spaces, etc • Number - the digits 0 thru 9, plus any of the special characters such as +, _, /, $, %, etc. • Formula - perform calculations on data contained in other cells

  32. Entering Data • Move the cell pointer to the desired location in spreadsheet work area • Press the appropriate keys • Press the Enter key
