  1. We Have a Problem…

  2. Problem: Under-Resourced Clinics in Underserved Communities • Clinics are under-resourced and understaffed. • Clinics are crowded with patients, oftentimes more than the clinic can handle. • Patients experience severely long wait times in clinic. • Doctors are under-resourced and overworked. • Primary care physicians barely have 15 minutes to meet with the patients. • More than half of the patients leave their primary care visits not understanding what the doctor has told them.

  3. Patient Wait Times

  4. Patient Wait Times: Limited Resources Lead to Inefficiencies in Patient Flow

  5. Where is this happening?Clinic: Olive View-UCLA Medical Center • OVMC is a public LA County hospital. • Not a private hospital like RRMC. • Olive View serves as the safety net to provide essential medical care to underserved communities in LA.

  6. Additional Clinics:Mid-Valley Comprehensive Health CenterHarbor-UCLA Medical Center • MVCHC and HMC are both additional public LA County hospitals that serve patients from underprivileged communities.
