  1. How does a Rhinoceros Beetle Survive? By: Bailey, Keyshon, and J’Christian Yak’s corner Aug. 29 2002

  2. What does it eat? • It eats decomposing plant material, such as ripened fruit fallen from a tree.

  3. How do they look? • An adult rhinoceros beetle looks tough. Its is hard, black shell, six legs, and wings. It also has a long curved horn on it’s head. The horn makes the beetle look like a rhino.

  4. Larvae • A Rhinoceros Beetle Larvae is called a Grub. It doesn’t look much like an adult beetle because it looks like a soft fat tube.

  5. Predators • Rhinoceros beetle predators are Orangutans, and Monkeys, and Asian people like to eat the larvae.

  6. Scientific name!!! • Coleoptera Scarabaeidae! Remember that!!
