    6. Moses led the Jews out of slavery in Egypt to the Holy Land that G-d had promised them. The escape of the Jews from Egypt is remembered by Jews every year in the festival of Passover (Pesach). The Jews were helped on their journey by G-d who parted the Red/Reed Sea to help them escape, and helped them in many other ways.

    7. Let us read page 40 in “The Jewish Experience”. What is Passover?

    8. The Passover (Pesach) meal The Passover feast commemorates the night that the Jewish people left Egypt. Jews eat the meal from a Seder plate.

    9. ‘The Last Supper’, which is the last meal which Jesus shared with his disciples before he was arrested, was the Passover meal. Christianity Crossover

    10. Using page 41 of ‘The Jewish Experience’ complete sections 1a, 1b and 1c. Use the sheet you will be given to relate the Seder plate to aspects of your life.

    11. At the Passover meal they sing a song about all the things which G-d did for the people by bringing them out of Egypt. In pairs write a short song which tells what you know the Exodus and how it is celebrated. Put your words to the tune of a song that you like and that others will know. Song about Passover

    12. Homework Plan your own special meal. What foods would you have and what would they symbolise? THINK HEALTHY! Who would you invite? Why? Would you have any special music? What would you say? To be handed in next week.
