  2. Church is family. We are God's family

  3. His living community every day of the week.

  4. We are not church at a special day or a special time but all the time.

  5. Church is who we are; not what we do or where we meet.

  6. When we're praying, church is praying;

  7. When we're working come Monday, church is working;

  8. When we're eating breakfast, church is having breakfast.

  9. We are God's church 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

  10. Washing dishes on a Monday night for an elderly couple,

  11. Changing your baby's diaper in the bathroom as an act of love is an expression of worship!

  12. It isn't in any way one bit less sacred than the proclaiming or teaching of God's word!

  13. And every bit of this is sacred not only because everything God created is good but also because it is the outflow of God's life from within God's people!

  14. Origin of the word“Church” • The word church comes from the Greek word “ekklesia”. • It means "the called out”. So the church is a called out body of people.

  15. Colossians 1:13 They have been called out of the world into the kingdom of God’s dear Son.

  16. 1 Corinthians 12:27 It is the spiritual body of Christ.

  17. Mark 16:16; Acts 2:47 The church are those who have been saved by Him. He adds them to His church.

  18. God's living community, His church, is composed of those of who have been made alive to His reign of grace.
