  3. Ingredients of the Good Life • Hope (1:13) • Holiness (1:14-21) • Love (1:22-2:3) • Worship (2:4-10) • Witness (2:9-12) • Submission (2:11-3:12)

  4. Mindset: Hope Fixed on Christ • Hope = “a confident expectation that God will fulfill His promises” • Object of hope = “grace being carried to you” • How? • “gird the loins of your mind” • “remain sober”

  5. Behavior: Holy like your Father • hagios (holy) = “set apart, distinct; not ordinary or common”

  6. “Who is like You among the gods, O Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders?” Exodus 15:11 Behavior: Holy like your Father • God’s Holiness

Revelation 15:3–4 And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations! Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
