Biography • Born to Irish and Polish Immigrants in 1893 • Grew up on the North Side of Chicago • Imprisoned 3 times before 21 years old • Became the leader of the North Side Gang, rivals with the south side leader Al Capone • Him and Capone had many disputes but none greater than the St Valentines Day Massacre when 7 of Bugs’ men died. • Bugs eventually died of cancer in 1957

  3. Characteristics • Leader of the North Side Gang, very well respected • Very sly man • Some say he was craziest man they knew • Not afraid of anyone

  4. Why is he a villain? • Robbed a lot of banks • Invented the drive-by shooting • Involved in many shootings • Got in knife and gun fights often • Smuggled alcohol • Your all around gangster basically

  5. Impact • George “Bugs” Moran changed the way gangs have been run since his death. Gangsters look up to this man.
