  1. Tim Aikens Principal Consultant Schlumberger Business Consulting; Europe, CIS & Africa Tim Aikens is a principal consultant for Schlumberger Business Consulting based in London, UK. A Civil Engineer by training Tim started his career with Chevron Petroleum in the North Sea. He then moved into management consulting with PA Consulting Group and Arthur D. Little. Tim is a highly experienced management consultant whose focus is primarily on strategic change and restructuring to bring tangible benefits to his clients. He has post graduate degrees in Business and Organisational Behaviour. Recommendations included organisational change and refocusing both development and operational priorities and activities • Creating a new organisation for a middle eastern operator to accommodate planned growth in production whilst minimising the need for additional staff and administration; • Implementing a major operational change programme for a Norwegian operator to achieve a dramatic reduction in operating cost • Conducting and implementing operational effectiveness reviews for UK based operators • Benchmarking best practice consortium management for a significant operator in the CIS • Advising a national oil company on the creation of a new operating entity to take on field operations. • Developing an approach for competency development and evaluation for a large national oil company
