  3. 1st – Select & Read a Book 2nd – Do 3 Activities 3rd – Present your Activities in ENG-III class, Fall 2012 What to Do Choose 1 Character Activity Create character cards 1. Use 2 index cards. 2. For your 2 main characters, create character cards. 3. Create a picture of your 2 main characters on one side of the cards. 4. Write a description of your characters on the other side of their cards. Include your character’s description, attitude, thoughts, personality. OR Create a Fakebook Page for 1 Main Character (there is no cost) 1. Access www.Fakebook.com. 2. Follow online directions to create & print your character’s Fakebook page.

  4. 2nd – Do 3 Activities Vocabulary Activity • Create a Vocabulary Quilt • Use index cards. • Choose 12 words from your book. • Write 1 word on one side of a card; • draw a picture to represent the word on the other side of the card. • 4. Glue your index cards with the picture showing on a large piece of paper • like a patchwork quilt. Plot Activity Create a Graphic Timeline 1. Using a large piece of paper, create a timeline of major events. 2. Show the progression of the story. Create a “spot” on your timeline for each chapter. Then, give a brief description under the “spot” of what happens in that chapter. Happy Reading! See you in the Fall
