  1. QUEENS COUNTY CHAPTER ONLINE APRIL 2010, VOLUME XXVII, NO. 7Official Publication of the Queens County ChapterInternational Association of Administrative Professionals Queens County Chapter Officers 2008-2010 “If you have made mistakes, even serious ones, there is always another chance for you. What we call failure is not falling down but staying down.” – Mary Pickford Congratulations again to Queens County Chapter on the achievement of 55 years (1955-2010). We will be celebrating at the June meeting. I want to thank the Nominating Committee for their efforts. The committee sent an email with the following slate of officers for the 2010-2012 term. President – Concetta Lanci CPS/CAP Vice President – Christine L. Haider CPS/CAP Treasurer – Lorraine R. Engenito CAP Recording Secretary – Irene Bedell Corresponding Secretary – Susan Bauer CPS I would also like to thank the members who have come forward to fill these positions. It is important that we continue to increase our ranks to keep up the strength of the chapter in order to promote succession planning. The election will be at the May meeting and the installation of officers will be at the June meeting. The Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon at the White House Restaurant on March 13, 2010 was a huge success. We were sold out. Thank you for bringing your family and friends to support our chapter fundraiser. Your hard work and donations were greatly appreciated. We had a good day of fashion sense, camaraderie and fun. We are still collecting donations for the chapter scholarship fund which is given to a student of Administrative studies at Queensborough Community College. We will hold an auction at the May meeting for this cause. As always, I appreciate your efforts on behalf of the chapter. It is because we have good, caring and positive members that our chapter is strong. Wear your IAAP pin with Pride. Please continue to keep the servicemen and women, who are serving our country overseas, in your thoughts and prayers for their safe return.. Christine L. Haider CPS/CAP
