1. J.Stewart Highcliffe 3 Dimensional Shapes

2. J.Stewart Highcliffe It is a Cube It has six square faces This shape has eight vertices It also has 12 edges A dice is usually this shape.

3. J.Stewart Highcliffe These are Cuboids These shapes have six faces All of the faces are rectangles (some of them may be squares) They have 12 edges There are 8 vertices on each shape

4. J.Stewart Highcliffe These are Cylinders These shapes have 2 circular faces They each have a curved surface They have no vertices They have 2 edges

5. J.Stewart Highcliffe These are all different types of Prisms A prism has two ends that are exactly the same size and shape and they are parallel to each other. A prism is the same size and shape all the way through.

6. J.Stewart Highcliffe This is a Triangular Prism This shape has 5 faces Three faces are rectangular Two faces are triangular It has 9 edges and 6 vertices This shape is often used for tents and Toblerone bars

7. J.Stewart Highcliffe This is a Pentagonal based Prism This shape has 7 faces Five faces are rectangular Two faces are pentagons It has 10 vertices and 15 edges

8. J.Stewart Highcliffe This is a Hexagonal Prism This shape has 8 faces Six faces are rectangular Two faces are hexagons It has 12 vertices and 18 edges

9. J.Stewart Highcliffe The following are all different types of Pyramids The sides of a pyramid are always triangles. They meet in a point at the top. This is called the apex. The base is a polygon, it can be any 2D shape

10. J.Stewart Highcliffe This is a Square based Pyramid This shape has 5 faces One face is a square The other 4 faces are triangles It has 8 edges and 5 vertices

11. J.Stewart Highcliffe This is a Pentagonal based Pyramid This shape has 6 faces One face is a pentagon The other 5 faces are triangles It has 10 edges and 6 vertices

12. J.Stewart Highcliffe This is a Hexagonal based Pyramid This shape has 7 faces One of the faces is a hexagon The other six faces are triangles It has 12 edges and 7 vertices

13. J.Stewart Highcliffe This is a Triangular based Pyramid This shape has 4 faces All of the faces are triangles It has 6 edges and 4 vertices
