  13. Reading Response • On pg.149, there’s a picture of crosses on fire, black people hung, and the Klu Klux Klan just watching. I hate this because they acted like they weren’t humans. • On pg. 138,there’s a song talking about how happy she is that she’s free. It’s nice because she finally got what she’s been hoping for : Freedom. • On pg.67, it’s a picture of men and women working in the field as slaves. I’ve always wondered ,do they work the men just as hard as the women?
