  1. NO CELL PHONES OR LAPTOPS PLEASE!

  2. Non-Negotiables of Effective DMPD

  3. Non-Negotiables of Effective DMPD MESSAGE GOAL: The goal of this session is to help you have a better understanding of the non-negotiables of DMPD. MAIN POINTS OF THIS SESSION: • Understand clearly the non-negotiables of DMPD. • See some of the “whys” behind these non-negotiables.

  4. Determine that you will do DMPD the “faith way” and not the “comfort zone way.” Don’t determine what you do by your comfort zone, but instead just do what works best even if it doesn’t feel comfortable, and trust God for the results. • Determine to be organized and efficient. Use your contact card box & schedule book properly. • Plan an overall strategy and decide you will work hard at DMPD.

  5. Keep your attitude improving by listening to the Attitude Messages daily during DMPD. • Trust only God to give you the victory and demonstrate this by praying daily for people by name: Pray for key contacts, upcoming appointments, call backs for decisions, and praise Him for your new Ministry Partners. Remember, “The horse is made ready for the day of battle but victory rests with the Lord.” Prov. 21:31 Claim people by faith and expect results. Treat them from the start as if they were already on your team.

  6. Plan specific times to call for appointments and faithfully follow your schedule, a minimum of 6 hours per week or until you have made 18 MPD appointments that week. Read the “Calling for Appointment Blurb” naturally and with enthusiasm. • Ask from everyone for contacts you call for appointments at the proper time. Memorize the key phrases. Remember to get them to a list and always ask for one or two more contacts from another church (i.e. Networking). Let each person know that you need them to give you many contacts (not just three or four).

  7. Always nail down the next step with a person immediately and be specific (no vague generalities). Try to get their decision within two days after the appointment. Remember to “keep the next step in your control.” • Memorize and always use the transition to the Photo Album sentence. “The main reason I wanted to get together with you today was so that I could share with you more about the great need for Christ in (Cameroon) today, how the Lord is using CCC to help meet that need, and let you know how you can help.”

  8. Do a very clear close. Memorize and always say the verbal part and read the financial part. Challenge everyone clearly for onechallenging amount. • Focuson what God wants to teach you and not on the money.

  9. ACTION POINTS: • Keep these non-negotiables firmly fixed in your mind by reviewing them weekly. • Determine to do DMPD by applying these non-negotiables. • Learn to use these non-negotiables in the power of the Holy Spirit.
