  6. “unless one is born of water & the Spirit” – • One Birth – occurs in water baptism when by faith one obeys the instructions of the Holy Spirit through the word to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins -

  7. John 3:5 Titus 3:5 Ephes. 5:26 Heb 10:22 1 Pet. 1:21,22 born of water and the Spirit washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit washing of water by the word, Bodies washed Hearts sprinkled Purified your souls by obeying the truth Born again . . . Of the word of God,

  8. <G1085> (genos) V; to procreate (properly of the father, but by extension of the mother); figurative to regenerate [Strong’s] John 3:5 (NKJV) 5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

  11. “Born of” NOT equivalent with baptism!! • Baptism is ONLY PART of the NEW BIRTH • Not “Word of truth baptism” James 1:18-22 (NKJV) 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

  12. When One’s Sins Are Forgiven – That Person Is Born gain – • He has A New Life in Christ – Romans 6:3-6 • Is a child of God – Gal 3:26,27 1 Peter 1:22-23 (NKJV) 22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit . . . 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

  13. Purified Souls Through, (by) the Spirit Born Again Through, (by) the Word

  14. BY Spirit’s Teaching Baptized 1 Corinthians 12:13 (NKJV) 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. • The Holy Spirit influences one to be baptized through that which He revealed – • He is NOT The element!

  15. BY Spirit’s Teaching Baptized 1 Corinthians 12:13 (NKJV) 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. “BY” - a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), —Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary

  16. BY Spirit’s Teaching Baptized 1 Corinthians 12:13 (NKJV) 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Cor 12:3 3 . . . no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

"I am of Paul," . . . 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 1 Cor 1:12-13 (NKJV) 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--. . . 1 Cor 12:13 (NKJV)

  21. The preposition "by" has the idea of instrumentality - not that we are baptized "with the Spirit" • The Holy Spirit leads us by the instrument of the word to be baptized into Christ. (cf. 1 Peter 1:22-25) • This baptism, (the one New Testament baptism), is water baptism. (Acts 8:12; 2:38; 10:47,48)

  22. By One Spirit I Believe That Jesus Is The Christ – (John 20:30.31) • By One Spirit I Confessed Jesus As The Christ – (1 Cor 12:3) • By One Spirit I Repented of My Sins – (Rev 3:19-22) • By One Spirit I Was Baptized INTO Christ – (1 Cor 12:13; Rom 6:3-6; John 3:5) • By One Spirit I Serve The Lord – (Rom 8:1,2,5,13,14)

  25. Jesus Spoke of Two Distinct Baptisms 30 A.D. for John truly baptized with water, “you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now”

  26. “Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word” . . . “as on us at the beginning” - (Acts 10:44; 11:15) Two baptisms in Caesarea41-A.D “he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord”

  28. Jesus “There is ONLY one baptism” If Holy Spirit Baptism is for the church today, then Water Baptism has been done away!

  29. Administered by man on earth (Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:38) Water is the element (Acts 8:38; 10:47) Commanded of all (Mark 16:15-16) To remit sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16) Manifested by burial, no tongues (Acts 8:14-18) Confession and burial required (Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:3,4) Saves from sin (Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 Peter 3:21) Purpose continues (I Peter 3:21) Administered by Jesus - (John 1:33; Matt.3:11; Acts 2:33) Spirit is the element - (Acts 1:5) Promised to a Few - (Lk.24:49; Acts 1:1-8). A sign & empowerment - (Acts 1:8; 2:32,33) Manifested by tongues - (Acts 2:1-4; 10:44-46) No physical action required - (Acts 2:1-4; 10:44-46) No salvation in it - (Acts 10:44-46) Purpose fulfilled - (John 16:13; Heb.2:4)
