  4. Origin of the name “Mira” • The name of the star is the feminine form of a Latin adjective meaning "Wonderful”. This name is probably an abbreviation of Stella Mira, "The Wonderful Star”

  5. History of Mira • It was discovered by David Frabricius on August 13, 1596. It was sighted by a whole lot of other people. But I after I did some research I found that David was the most credited astronomer for finding Mira.

  6. Mira’s location • Mira is located in the constellation Cetus.

  7. Interesting Facts • Mira has a comets tail that stretches out 13 light yrs. • There is a watch company named after it. • It was in Star Trek.
