  3. Overview The purpose of this Quest is: • To assess your comprehension of the course text, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time India. In addition to assessment, the aim of the Quest is threefold: • To promote peer-to-peer accountability; • To establish responsible study habits and expectations for 8th Grade English Language Arts; • To practice recall, analytical, evaluative, and synthetical skills orally

  4. Rules While it has all of the appearances of a game, do not be deceived; this is an assessment. Please note that: • Each of you will be placed in a team—and you will not be permitted to choose your team members. • Each of you will be assessed individually on your understanding and comprehension of the novel; however, you will receive a group grade. • Each team will have 1 Lifeline, which will permit them to discuss with their team-members their answer; using the lifelines results in a .5 point deduction. • The team that earns the highest score will be rewarded with one point of extra credit.
