  3. Topic 2: Tom can’t get away from his job to pick up his mother at the airport. His friend has offered to pick up his mother, but his friend doesn’t know what his mother looks like. • Place: The airport. • Preparation time: 5 mins • Role-play time: 10 mins • Each of you should play one of the roles. • Candidate A: You are Tom. • Candidate B: You are Tom’s friend. • Candidate C: You are Tom’s mother. • Candidate D: You are a passenger.

  4. Topic 3: Tom has an elderly parent who is no longer strong enough to live alone. How to solve this problem? • Place: The bedroom. • Preparation time: 5 mins • Role-play time: 10 mins • Each of you should play one of the roles. • Candidate A: You are Tom. • Candidate B: You are Tom’s wife. • Candidate C: You are Tom’s mother. • Candidate D: You are Tom’s brother
