  2. Business Link in the Northwest was radically restructured in April of this year. The service has been streamlined to enable finite resources to be reallocated from supporting a number of sub-regional back-office functions to supporting a greater level of value-adding client facing resources. What this means to many businesses within the region is an increase of 70% in the telephone access times during which Business Link can be reached and an increase of approx. 30% in the capacity of business facing staff that are available to deal directly with businesses in the area.

  3. Business Link provides a focused Information, Diagnosis and Brokerage service that works with businesses to diagnose business issues and then locates and introduces the providers of the appropriate solutions; private & public. This offer recognises the very real need that businesses have expressed in regards to simplifying the access into sources of relevant business support, whilst acknowledging that the expertise that businesses require does not (cannot) reside within one body. The model makes explicit the recognition that much of the expertise that businesses require is within the private sector.
