  • It is a software program in which one or more players make decisions through the control of game objects and resources, in pursuit of a goal.

  • Design it for people to interact and play with.

    • Basics – Not too hard or impossible, learning curve

    • Challenge – Not too easy, progressively challenging

    • Target your audience

      • Kids

      • Teens

      • Adults

      • Experience, Inexperience

  • Decision should effect the game

  • The more your actions effect the outcome of the game the more satisfying the game can be.

  • Players should be able to control something.

    • Balance or control and no control to increase difficulty

    • Having infinite or unlimited resources to control can be fun at the start…
