  2. Aim: to improve the environmental performance of the entire education system Launched in 2003 Grew out of Green Electricity Campaign – need for institutional change Go Green Campaign Communicating Sustainability

  3. 1) The active, public support of senior university management 2) Full-time staff dedicated to environmental management 3) A written, publicly available environmental policy 4) A comprehensive review Go Green Demands Communicating Sustainability

  7. 16- 24 February 2008 Students in universities, colleges and sixth-forms took collective local action to increase the pressure for change Green Education Declaration: education representatives call for a strong Climate Bill with carbon reduction strategies for public and private sectors of the economy – currently 40 signatories National Go Green Week Communicating Sustainability
