  1. Fall Semester Results and Spring Semester PlanBrian Henry Advisor: Andreas Linninger 1/12/2010 Laboratory for Product and Process Design Chicago, Il, 60607 LPPD

  2. What have I done last semester? • I investigated computational meshes. • I created a new pipeline in which volumetric meshes are created • I created working 3-D Meshes for CFD Simulations • I worked with Dennis for VTK and Surgieo • I Finished and submitted the TeraGrid Application LPPD

  3. LPPD: Old MRI-Mesh Pipeline Registration of the image with Mimics “Fixing” of STL with Mimics STL File Export Meshing with Gambit Loading of MSH into Fluent MSH File Export ** Takes a LONG time, if it works at all ** LPPD

  4. LPPD: New MRI-MSH Pipeline Registration of the image with ITK Snap (or Mimics) Fixing of the Mesh with Ansys ICEM CFD STL File Export Import into Fluent for CFD Simulations Volumetric Meshing of the STL with Ansys ICEM CFD MSH File Export ** Very Fast, Very Efficient ** LPPD

  5. New Working Spine CSF • Let me show you what I have done. • I spent ~150 hours over break re-creating the Spine CSF file. • Brain CSF: Coming Soon. • Combined Nervous CSF: Coming Soon . LPPD

  6. TeraGrid • Finished and Accepted LPPD

  7. What I plan to do for the Spring • Create some complicated Nervous System CSF Volumetric Meshes • Write/Collaborate on some papers • Work with Teragrid to create 3-D Case Files LPPD
