  1. LOTF Review---chapters 6-10 Explain the irony of the dead parachutist landing in chapter six. Discuss Ralph’s behavior when he wounded the boar. (pgs 113-115) What incident in chapter seven foreshadowed the incident surrounding Simon’s death? What question does Ralph ask Jack in chapter seven? What starts happening to Ralph in chapter eight and continues through the following chapters? Explain your perceptions of him now. What does hair symbolize? Is there a theme that can be gleaned from the exchange between Simon and the Lord of the Flies at the end of chapter eight? (see pg 143) What happened to the parachutist in chapter nine? (Mention two things.) What happens at the end of chapter nine? (Examine pages 152-4). What is the significance of the last paragraph of the chapter? In chapter ten, how do Ralph, Piggy, and Samneric react when talking about the “dance” that occurred? How do the hunters explain what happened during the “dance”?
