  1. Calculate Definition: To work an equation out mathematically Sentence: If I calculate this last math problem correctly, I will make an A+ on my test! Action: Point your finger in the air and calculate the equation 6+4=10. Then whisper to your neighbor, “I knew that!”

  2. Question Definition: a written or spoken inquiry or a request for information Sentence: I need to ask you a question about something I don’t know. Action: Whisper to your neighbor the following question, “Do you think we’ll go outside for recess today?”

  3. Equal Definition: identical in size, quantity, value, or standard Sentence: It is easy to know that 100 equals 100, but a little harder to know that 41 + 59 equals 100 too! Action: Whisper a number to your neighbor and have them whisper back a number equal to yours.

  4. Equation Definition:mathematical statement of two expressions, usually divided by an equal sign Sentence: I know the answer to this equation, it’s 63 ... or is it? 25 +36 = 63 Action: Figure out the answer to this equation, and whisper to you neighbor if you think 63 is the answer!
