ACORN Strengths • ACORN investigators have high-level training and expertise in epidemiology/biostatistics/ethics • ACORN members are senior-level PEM investigators with substantial research, grant writing and publication experience, and leadership in the field of PEM • ACORN research proposals are subject to a rigorous internal review process with participation by all core ACORN investigators

  16. Concluding Statement The ACORN Node of PECARN is committed to applying our strengths and expertise to the study of the prevention and treatment of acutely ill and injured children. We will maintain strong collaborations with all other Nodes of PECARN, the MCHB/EMSC, and EMSC practitioners. We are confident that the strong commitment of all the Nodes of PECARN will insure the success of this robust and exciting network.
