Slide 1:Pirate Pete by Kim Kennedy

Gold put the twinkle in Pirate Pete’s eye, the shine in his hook, and the sparkle in his smile. Why, he liked gold so much that he plundered every ship and shore in the Seven Seas in search of the gleaming booty. When he heard that the Queen had discovered a treasure map, Pete had to have it. “After all,” he explained to his parrot, “where there’s treasure, there’s gold, and where there’s gold, I’m a-goin’.” Vocabulary To create a drop down definition of certain words within a selects: Highlight the word you want to define. Slide 2:My Pirate Story by Sam Cooke

Once upon a time there was a boy named Luke. He and his friencds loved to go dishing. His dad would take the boys out and the girls would go shopping. One day the boys decided to go fising. They got a basket of food and got the boat ready. The girls got in the car and went to the mall. When the boys got to their favorite fishing spot they they threw the anchor over the edge and began to fish. They had been fising for about an hour before theycaught their first fish. It was a big one so they decided to keep it. They started fishing again and Luke saw a ship coming towars them. He told his dad they should all go below decks just in case it is a pirate ship. They were below decks and they saw that more ships had come and surrounded them. Peter’s dad called the water police and told them about the pirates. They said they would get there as fast as they could. They had to wait for five minutes but then they came. The strongest ship disabled the pirate ships and the rest caught  and killed them. We were all  safe and the police were glad that the pirates were dead. cpsb 11/27/2006 Author: Editor: Title/Assignment: As you read this draft make sure the author: 1.Correctly spells words 2.Includes ending punctuation 3.Uses complete sentences 4.Uses capitals when appropriate 5.Indents at the beginning of the paragraph cpsb 11/27/2006 Author: Editor: Title/Assignment: As you read this draft make sure the author: 1.Correctly spells words 2.Includes ending punctuation 3.Uses complete sentences 4.Uses capitals when appropriate 5.Indents at the beginning of the paragraph
