  2. Aim To provide an opportunity to disseminate practice in relation to the Northern Ireland Curriculum

  3. Expected Outcomes By the end of the day participants will have: • Shared and explored examples of school based practice in NIC • Examined the potential application of these examples to future developments in their school setting

  4. Dissemination • Individually respond to the statements • In your group discuss your responses

  5. Workshop 1: In groups identify 3 agreed key points to each of the questions • What do we mean by dissemination? • What are the characteristics of effective dissemination? • What role should dissemination play in teacher learning?

  6. Ways of Disseminating • Collaborative working between departments • Observation • Exemplification CPD- SID Days • School Intranet • Within Learning Communities • Other !!!!

  20. Workshop 4b: Developing CPD Plan a staff development day • Identify the focus for the day • How will you identify practice for dissemination which will contribute effectively to CPD? • How will you evaluate the impact (short term and long term) on teaching and learning?
