  15. NeighborWorks NFMC Compliance • Random Reviews are conducted at 25%, 60% and 95%. (File Sampling) • Please be ready with “Paper Sandwiches” by number. Don’t send documents individually. • Use Print out of Portal for Intake • TYPED information where possible • NFMC AUTHORIZATION • Errors are found, must remedy all files for that round.

  17. NeighborWorks Compliance • Authorization Forms – NFMC Authorization not other Authorization Old Forms Key Provisions – remove dates!! Form must explicitly state that the client is authorizing (a). the agency to submit client-level information to the Data Collection System for the NFMC grant, (b). NFMC to open files to be reviewed for program monitoring and compliance purposes, and (c). NFMC to conduct follow-up with the client related to program evaluation.

NFMC Level 1 Counseling Defined Level 1 Counseling - All of these completed documents must be in client file: • Intake – DHCD Portal, CMS, or HOPE LOAN PORT® • Signed Authorization with NFMC language not credit authorization or mortgage authorization • Budget • Action Plan – NFMC Compliance Worksheet • Screen for Making Home Affordable. If no, note it. If yes, application. .

  23. NFMC Making Home Affordable Outreach & Intake Project

Making Home Affordable Project The goal of the project is to reach homeowners to make them aware of the full range of options under MHA and to assist them with the successful completion of the MHA application process. HAMP Tier I, HAMP Tier II and HAMP PRA The project is funded through Treasury under TARP. NeighborWorks is administering the funds.

Making Home Affordable Project How will DHCD funding decisions be made? • NFMC 5-6 agencies in good standing only, DHCD cannot add new agencies • HLP Usage – any organization who has submitted more than 40 files through HLP • Geographic Distribution • Each sub-grantee will be required to submit between 10-15 applications/$7000

Making Home Affordable Project DHCD received $100,000 in funds • $75,000 for (167) Applications through HLP • $19,000 Outreach • Ticker Crawl Message on Weather Channel Cable • Posters with Treasury and Department Branding • Montgomery County Ride-On Buses Ads • Constant Contact Newsletter for consumers • $6,000 – Oversight
