  1. Strength Equipment Maintenance and Safety The normal fitness center patron might not realize it, but if you want the gym getting operated smoothly, it is essential to take into consideration the important procedures. One of the most vital responsibilities for the manager or owner of the center is the maintenance of the strength equipment. As per the report of experts, a little maintenance helps to keep the fitness center a safe and better environment for all the members. Oil Machines Resistance machines consist of the parts that are essential to lubricate once in a month. For the better equipment, spray silicone in a clean rag and apply to the weight tracks. Spray on to the bearings and move them to make sure that they could move freely. Most of the cardiovascular machines like treadmills are lubricated already. Go through the oil reservoirs and fill as per the instructions of a manufacturer. Wipe-Downs The most essential and frequent task to maintain is to wipe down all the seats, mats, pads, cardio consoles and benches. This works needs to be done various times in a day with a water-based disinfectant and clean rag. To get rid of too much disinfectant of getting sprayed in the air, spray straight to the rag before cleaning the pad. Post the posters in the gym all over asking members to clean out the equipment after using it. Offer paper towel dispensers throughout. As per the report, clean strength equipment prevents spreading communicable illnesses through bacteria and viruses and makes the center best to use for the members. Maintain Barbells that can be adjusted Dead skin, dirt, lifting chalk and rust can take place in barbell’s knurling. Every week, make sure to use the wire brush to clean them. Oil them every month so that sleeves could spin freely. Go through all the equipment for wear Every week, take a look at all the equipment to check if they are broken. Check bench pads and machine for cracks and tears. Check fixed dumbbells and barbells to ensure weights are attached securely. Make sure to maintain the strength equipmentto keep them safe.
