PURPOSE • To assist the SPDG Program and SPDG projects in using use new technologies effectively and efficiently to: • acquire data more easily so that they can make scientifically based decisions • collaborate more effectively • provide professional development in a more efficient and cost-effective way • efficiently support the use of innovations in the LEAs. • Access can be provided to people in rural areas and those with disabilities

Expected Outcomes • By October 2009, the SPDG program will have chosen, installed, and begun to use new technologies that can be accessed through the SIGNetwork site. • By January 2010, of 50% SPDG Project Directors and evaluators will have received training in a technology through the SPDG program. • By May 2010, 75% of SPDG Project Directors and evaluators will have used a new technology on the SIGNetwork site to: communicate, collaborate, and share tools, products, and strategies. • By September 2010, the Tech Focus Workgroup will have used feedback from the new technology users to improve the SIGNetwork’s use of technology.
