Investment Potential • In 2008 thGovernment of Mozambique approved the National Program for establishment of Science and Technology Parks: • South region of Mozambique, Maluana, with 960 ha, at the moment only 350 ha are done; • 2. Central regional (Dombe/Estaquinha and Mocuba) and • 3. North region (Nampula). • Each park will have its own infocus, accordingly to potential of each region. 6 Ministry of Science and Technology

Investment & Technology Partnership Ministério da Ciência e Tecnologia - MCT Investment opportunity at Maluana: • Construction of common infrastructure (internal road network, electricity network, water network, sewerage system, telecommunication and data network in all the extension of the master plan estimated 25 million USD. • Construction of the National Biotechnology Centre in the Maluana Science and Technology Park estimated 115 million USD • Construction of 500 accommodations for students, researchers, lectures and other staff (estimated USD 85 M million);

Other Investment Opportunities Ministério da Ciência e Tecnologia - MCT • Establishment of 3 centres of research training, technology and knowledge transfer for production and processing local crops - CSIR; • Post harvest technologies (Agroprocessing); • Small and Medium scale equipments manufacturing; 2. Establishment of remoting sense antenna to minimize natural disasters, such as floods, dried and pest control.

Favorable condition of investment in Science e Technology Ministério da Ciência e Tecnologia - MCT Income tax-IRPC and IRPS • Investments in the areas of scientific research, ICT, Innovation and technology development and Science Technologies Parks, are planned the following tax benefits: Tax on corporate income (IRPC)• Exemption for the first five years;• 50% reduction in the rate of 6-10 fiscal year;• 25% reduction in the rate of the 11-15 fiscal year;
